About Me

I am a freelance content writer and journalist reporting on conscious and adventure travel, health and wellness, and global issues.
Growing up in South Korea and traveling around the world with my family ignited a curiosity in me about the world from a young age. A voracious bookworm and learner my whole life, I grew up fascinated by the tales I could read about lands far away and the stories they inspired me to write.
As an adult, I have continued to follow that never-ending path of education and discovery through my biggest passions of travel and writing. I’ve visited 30 countries and slow-traveled solo through Latin America since 2018, and I now live in Buenos Aires.
I write both editorially and commercially for travel and wellness brands.
Besides my home country of the United States, the countries I’ve spent the most time in and hold the most expertise on are Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, and South Korea.
Having spent so much time abroad, I care about sharing stories about how social and political circumstances affect the lives of people around the globe. You can read more on my Substack newsletter, where I explore these themes through personal stories and investigative reporting, as well as share my experiences living a global lifestyle.
I also have an interest in sustainable food systems, regenerative agriculture, nutrition, and how the human body interacts with its environment. This has led me to volunteer on organic farms and holistic centers across Ecuador, Colombia, and India.
I hold a degree in Public Health and International Development from Tulane University in New Orleans, one of my favorite cities in the world.
My travels have allowed me to reach fluency in Spanish, and I enjoy writing in both English and Spanish. Learning languages so that I can connect with and learn from people around the globe is one of my greatest joys in life, and I am currently studying Brazilian Portuguese and French.
